Addicted to Destruction

I used to love blowing things up in the Navy, holding the detonator in my hand, pressing the button and feeling that blast overpressure thump off my body, knowing I’d completely obliterated some form of creation.  And I’ve destroyed many other things, like relationships, but as I’ve grown older I’ve discovered that building, not destruction provides satisfaction.  Any fool can create wreckage.  Great men build – by developing their minds, improving their physical and spiritual health, and most importantly helping their fellow man and bettering the world.  Let’s not blow it.  Let’s try and build something.
