An Alternative to Bread

Bread is part of our culture and most people eat bread with their steak, their eggs, on sandwiches and everything else, but bread is a starch and the primary culprit in American body fat – aside from sugar, so here’s an alternative – oat or rye based crackers/flatbread.  Every health food grocer will have rye or preferably oat based flatbread.  These flatbreads will not affect blood sugar and you can use them like bread at your meals.  Equally important, they’re an excellent source of fiber – and fiber soaks up toxins, cholesterol, sugars and helps keep us regular.  Just make sure there is NO white flour when you read the label.  The first ingredient must read oat or rye.
