Fitness models are airbrushed and photo enhanced, and we can now perform miracles on our own computers, especially with lighting and contrast, but there are two major posing tricks which can help present a thinner waistline. One is to stand sideways to the camera and then turn the upper body toward the camera. If forced to face the camera straight on – the other trick is to lean back slightly (1-2 inches). This will not only flex the abdominal muscles it will force the oblique muscles to flex to the front and rear for stability – instead of bulging to the sides. This should shave an inch off either side. Both tricks are shown below.
