Most people live stressful lives coupled with excessive caffeine consumption both of which zap the adrenal glands causing fatigue, so here are a few tips for replenishing the adrenal glands. First off, cut back on caffeinated products. Note: I did not say eliminate, just cut back. Second, try to get more rest and eat a healthy diet. (Diet is always the most important variable in health). Also, supplement your diet with a high quality Omega-3 fish oil and DHEA. (DHEA is secreted by the adrenal glands and production diminishes significantly by age 35. As DHEA is the master testosterone hormone it’s imperative to take this supplement). Our HRT doctor recommends desiccated bovine adrenals (found at any health food store) I was feeling run down last week and Guy administered me a Zyto Scan which indicated low adrenal function. Fortunately that was all, but since I drink so many caffeinated products I knew the Zyto Scan was correct. I am currently testing their bovine product and will report back in several weeks. And last but not least – get some exercise! Exercise releases all good hormones.
