Why Alcohol Triggers Fat Storage

Most people know that alcohol disrupts sleep patterns and deprives us of a goodnights sleep.  It also aggravates the stomach and digestive track depriving us of complete nutrient absorption.  The reason it triggers fat storage is because our body prioritizes metabolizing the alcohol over the foods we ingest – so instead of being efficiently broken down – the foods get stored as fat.  And as we know, most people who drink heavy also tend to eat heavy – all the more trash to get stored as fat.
